The Honorable Robert L. Ehrlich, J.C. Boggs, M. Alexander Koch, Alana L. Griffin and Robert E. Benson, Jr.
President Donald Trump has stated that the Dodd-Frank Act needs to be “eliminated or changed greatly.” Republican lawmakers have also proposed measures, including the Financial CHOICE Act, that would repeal or amend significant portions of Dodd-Frank .
This program will provide an overview of likely changes to Dodd-Frank and the implications of such changes for financial institutions and public companies. The program will discuss how the current political climate is poised to impact passage of the Financial CHOICE Act, the potential implications for Securities and Exchange Commission enforcement, and recommendations for financial institutions and public companies on compliance with required governance practices and disclosures while Dodd-Frank remains subject to review.
