Daily Report Names Sally Yates a Distinguished Leader, Honors Glen Reed With Lifetime Achievement Award and Names Geoffrey Drake On The Rise

ATLANTA, June 29, 2018 — The Daily Report has named King & Spalding Special Matters & Government Investigations partner Sally Yates a Distinguished Leader, has honored Healthcare partner Glen Reed with a Lifetime Achievement Award and has selected Trial and Global Disputes partner Geoffrey Drake for its annual On The Rise list for 2018.

In a profile of Yates, the publication noted that 2017 was an “unprecedented” year for her as she discussed her time as acting U.S. Attorney General and her new role performing investigations for King & Spalding clients. She told the publication: “I believe that, for the most part, we are a country that values truth and fairness. And finding the truth takes a thoughtful review of the facts and reasoned judgment.”

Reed, who helped found the firm’s healthcare practice and its annual Health Law and Policy Forum event in 1992, was honored for his tenure as one of the most experienced and respected healthcare lawyers in the country. Having served clients in the healthcare industry since graduating from Yale Law School in 1976, Glen is hailed as a pioneer in health law. The publication also highlighted his charitable, such as serving as a founding board member for MedShare, which ships medical goods overseas.

Drake, a member of King & Spalding’s Product Liability group, was among 20 lawyers under the age of 40 selected by the Daily Report for its annual On the Rise list, which recognizes practitioners who are expected to go far in the field. In the publication’s profile on him, Drake cited making partner as one of his proudest achievements. His practice focuses on guiding companies in the life sciences, automotive, energy and technology sectors through their thorniest and most complex litigation.
