SAN FRANCISCO, March 19, 2020 — The Daily Journal has once again named King & Spalding partner Kenneth Steinthal to its annual list of the Top Intellectual Property Lawyers in California. This is the fourth time he has been selected.
In a profile that accompanied the list, the publication called Steinthal a “pioneer in an area of law that straddles IP, technology and traditional media,” and highlighted his representation of clients such as Alphabet Inc.-owned Google, ESPN, Pandora Media, Peloton Interactive Inc. and the Radio Music License Committee in matters adverse to a number of music licensing organizations.
Steinthal litigates matters in the intellectual property/media sector. His practice is focused on copyright, DMCA and antitrust/rate-setting cases involving the distribution of audio and audiovisual content, and includes counseling companies regarding the licensing implications of their product offerings. Steinthal was named to the Daily Journal’s Top IP Lawyers in California list in 2018, 2017 and 2015 and has also been recognized by the National Law Journal as one of its 2016 IP Trailblazers, and by Law360, as a 2015 Media & Entertainment MVP.
