Scott, a former two-time U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California, is an experienced trial lawyer who represents major companies facing government investigations and litigation, with a focus in the healthcare, retail, and construction industries. He has extensive knowledge on matters involving consumer protection, construction accidents, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the False Claims Act (FCA).
The publication highlighted his representation of the state’s Employment Development Department to coordinate investigations into a multi-billion dollar unemployment fraud scandal, successfully defending a CEO of a major retail chain accused of ethical violations and his defense of a northern California company in a hazardous waste matter.
