CHICAGO, Sept. 8, 2020 — Crain’s Chicago Business has named King & Spalding partner Livia Kiser as one of Chicago’s Notable Women in Law for 2020.
In its profile of Kiser, Crain’s noted her successes in the past 18 months defending a large U.S. food producer against consumer fraud and false-advertising claims and in moving to deny class certification for a proposed nationwide consumer class action related to airline check-in procedures. Crain’s also highlighted her pro bono work for asylum seekers and children with disabilities, as well as her work to promote diversity and inclusion in the legal field.
Kiser, a partner in the firm’s Trial & Global Disputes practice, defends companies in high-stakes civil disputes arising from dangerous or toxic products or substances, consumer fraud, false advertising, breach of warranty, privacy violations, unfair competition and other torts.
