Craig Carpenito to Speak at American Bar Association Program

New York Government Matters partner Craig Carpenito will speak at an American Bar Association program on May 4 titled “Villainy Gone Viral: The Many Faces of Fraud in a Pandemic.” Craig will participate in a panel discussion with other representing federal, state, and local government enforcers as well as the corporate and on-line seller community. Fraud has been one of the most difficult challenges facing governments during the pandemic. Bad actors have sought to unlawfully benefit themselves using procurement fraud, price gauging and other schemes. The panelists will discuss examples of fraud, how to detect it, ways to prevent it, and lessons learned for our next public health crisis. More information can be found here.
