Carolyn Alford Elected Vice President of American College of Investment Counsel


ATLANTA, Nov. 4, 2016 — King & Spalding partner Carolyn Alford was elected Vice President of the American College of Investment Counsel (ACIC) at the organization’s annual meeting Oct. 19 in New York City.

Alford, head of King & Spalding’s Global Finance Practice Group, completed her term as Secretary and recently served a three-year term as a Trustee of the ACIC, a prominent forum for lawyers who represent institutional investors in a range of investments, including private placements of debt and structured financings.

Alford represents investors, lenders and issuers in debt financings, private placements, acquisition financings, cash flow and asset-backed financings, asset-based lending, mezzanine financings and project financings. She has specific industry expertise in energy, healthcare/pharmaceutical and media/communications.

The ACIC was founded in 1981 by a group of 10 lawyers from private practice and financial institutions, specializing in the area of major institutional investment financing.
