ATLANTA, Nov. 13, 2020 — The Atlanta Business Chronicle recognized King & Spalding partner Harold Franklin with an Outstanding Voice award at its 2020 Diversity & Inclusion Awards ceremony.
The awards celebrate “leaders and revolutionaries who are embracing equality across all areas of diversity, including age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, race and religion,” according to the publication.
Franklin, who is a partner in the firm’s Product Liability practice and chair of its Diversity Committee, was recognized for his efforts to advocate for social justice and increase diversity in the legal profession. The Atlanta Business Chronicle specifically cited his role as president of the Gate City Bar Association in launching the Justice Robert Benham Law Camp, a summer program designed to expose minority high school students in the Atlanta area to the field of law; his work for over 20 years with Election Protection, a non-partisan national organization that assists in preventing voter discrimination and disenfranchisement; and his mentoring of younger lawyers at the firm.
