HOUSTON, May 14, 2018 — The Asian Pacific Interest Section (APIS) of the State Bar of Texas has named King & Spalding partner Cindy Lin to its Best Lawyers Under 40 list, which “recognizes talented individuals within the Asian Pacific American legal community under the age of 40 who have achieved prominence and distinction in their fields and have demonstrated a strong commitment to civic or community affairs.”
Lin, who is a member of King & Spalding’s Corporate, Finance & Investment practice group, received the award at the annual APIS Conference held last month in Austin, Texas. Lin previously served as the chair of APIS and is currently on the organization’s Council. APIS is a statewide organization that advocates and promotes the professional interests of lawyers of, and those interested in, Asian Pacific American heritage, community and culture.
Lin’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity offerings. Her clients include domestic and foreign companies, both public and private, as well as venture funds, private equity funds, emerging growth companies, entrepreneurs and management teams. Lin works with clients across a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, power and manufacturing. Lin has been recommended as an M&A lawyer by Legal 500 and has been named a Texas Rising Star by Texas Monthly each year since 2012.
