White House Announces All Adults Will be Eligible for Vaccination by May 1

On March 11, 2021, President Joe Biden directed all states, tribes, and territories to make all adults eligible to be vaccinated by May 1. President Biden noted that while not everyone will be able to be immediately vaccinated, the administration is planning to launch tools to match adults with their nearest vaccination center.  

This week, Alaska become the first state to make COVID-19 vaccines available to anyone age 16 or older. Meanwhile, Texas announced that phase 1C of the vaccine rollout will begin March 15, allowing Texans age 50 and older to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
