At the February 16, 2021 White House Press Briefing, Jen Psaki announced that vaccine supply delivered to states will increase to 13.5 million doses per week and that 2 million doses will go to local pharmacies this week. This reflects a 57% supply increase since the beginning of the Biden administration.
According to the CDC, 55,220,364 doses have been administered as of February 16, 2021. 5,968,542 of these doses have been administered in long-term care facilities. Daily updates can be found here.
On the same day, FEMA announced that it has committed more than $3.38 billion to support community vaccination centers. As of February 15, FEMA has deployed 1,279 staff to support vaccination centers.
