China Lays out 2017 Key Tasks for “Made in China 2025” Industrial Bases


To further implement the Made in China 2025 strategy, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) published the Circular of the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on Printing and Distributing 2017 Key Tasks for National New Industrialization Pioneer Industrial Bases (the Circular) on its website on March 27, 2017. The Circular calls for selecting and developing Made in China 2025 pioneer bases to be advanced manufacturing bases internationally influential and competitive, giving priorities to cultivating emerging industries and transforming traditional industries. To effectuate the goal, MIIT pledges to strengthen the cooperation with financial institutions including state policy banks and private entities to explore new mechanism to support the development national pioneer bases by financial institutions, private capital, and various funds.
