backAndy Slavitt, a senior adviser on the White House's coronavirus response team, announced that Medicare will now provide reimbursement to providers administering COVID-19 vaccines at nearly twice its previous rates, increasing payments from $23 per shot to $40 per shot for COVID-19 vaccines administered on or after March 15, 2021. For two-dose vaccines, Medicare will now pay $80 to providers.
