Professional liability claims against accountants and lawyers involve complex regulatory, civil, criminal and appellate proceedings, and clients benefit from having a law firm with an equally wide range of expertise. For over 30 years, King & Spalding’s Professional Liability Practice Group has defended accountants and lawyers in virtually every kind of claim and in over 50 jurisdictions. Our lawyers have tried numerous cases before juries and judges in several different states and have defended our clients before arbitration panels, in investigations by the SEC, the PCAOB, the DOJ, the U.S. Attorney’s Offices, the New York State Attorney General, and various State Boards of Accountancy.

Our Professional Liability Practice Group includes several Fellows of the American College of Trial Lawyers, as well as former CPAs. We also capitalize on close relationships with our Appellate, Securities Litigation, Special Matters/Government Investigations, and Financial Restructuring Practice Groups to best serve our clients’ needs.
