King & Spalding’s Private Finance Practice Group is based in the firm’s Atlanta, Charlotte, Dubai, London and New York offices. The Group provides services in connection with private finance and other commercial transactions, including investment grade and leveraged credit facilities on both a syndicated and single-lender basis; merchant banking transactions; asset-based financings; venture and mezzanine investments; highly leveraged-, bridge-, and other-acquisition financings; project and other structured financings; leveraged leases; a wide array of real estate financings; private placements of debt securities; interest rate swaps, currency swaps, and other hedge transactions and derivatives; trade finance transactions; LDC debt swaps and funds and credit enhanced transactions.
The group has substantial experience in workouts and restructurings. In all transactions, the group combines both borrower and lender expertise. The group also provides services in connection with acquisitions of banks and thrift institutions, as well as bank regulatory issues. In addition, the New York-based practice is nationally-recognized in utility and power finance.
