Our EHS lawyers understand the unique EHS regulatory and enforcement challenges confronting healthcare organizations. We have substantial experience in developing and reviewing the effectiveness of environmental, health and safety management systems, including alignment of such systems with the accreditation standards of The Joint Commission and in responding to federal and state compliance and enforcement initiatives. Part of our experience includes assisting healthcare organizations with establishment of EHS compliance systems as part of remedies frequently ordered following enforcement actions. Several of our EHS lawyers have substantial subject-matter expertise in chemistry and engineering, which makes us particularly well suited to assist the healthcare sector in developing structured EHS management programs and responding to enforcement actions.
