Financial Markets Policy Task Force

King & Spalding’s Financial Markets Policy Task Force (Policy Task Force) combines professionals from the firm’s governmental advocacy and public policy practices with key partners from the corporate, finance and financial restructuring practices. The Policy Task Force was created to provide our clients with information and advice on the government’s responses to the financial crisis. We connect our clients to the government’s responses to the crisis in real time by

• providing real-time updates on the status and effect of pending government actions through email alerts and a series of conference calls;
  
  
• analyzing the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act, other legislation and Federal Reserve and Treasury responses to the crisis to assist clients in dealing with specific issues; and
  
  
• communicating the concerns of our clients to contacts in the legislative and executive branches.

Communication, analysis and response - these three prongs work together to give our clients a balanced view of actions in Washington, to provide them with advice targeted to their specific needs and to give them a voice to respond to decision makers.
