26 Jul 2010

ATLANTA, July 26, 2010 — As part of King & Spalding’s e-Learn series, an hour-long web seminar “The Dodd-Frank Act: New Corporate Governance and Disclosure Requirements for Public Companies” will be offered to King & Spalding clients on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. EDT.

During the program, King & Spalding partners Jeffrey M. Stein, Keith M. Townsend and counsel Laura O. The lawyers will also provide advice toward companies’ compliance with the new requirements.

Specific topics to be discussed include:
  • Background of the new requirement

  • Steps for implementation, including SEC or stock exchange rulemaking

  • Recommendations for public companies, including drafting disclosures, reviewing stock ownership to predict voting results, analyzing pay practices and revising corporate documents
Clients of the firm will be able to participate online or may view the program at the firm’s offices in Atlanta, Houston, London, New York and Washington, D.C. Participants in the King & Spalding e-Learn series generally receive CLE credit for attending the e-Learn program.
