King & Spalding Ranks Among the Nation's Top Underwriters Counsel on State and Local Debt Offerings

NEW YORK, July 21, 2010 — King & Spalding ranked among the nation’s top underwriters counsel on state and local debt offerings during the first half of 2010, according to a Thomson Reuters report on U.S. municipal bonds. King & Spalding was ranked No. 3 among the top 10 U.S. law firms in proceeds and market share for offerings of bonds authorized under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Tax Act (ARRTA), with proceeds totaling $2.62 billion and a market share of 6.3 percent. The firm also broke into the top 10 rankings in the first half of 2010 in the categories of underwriters counsel and underwriters counsel long and short term, rising in both categories to the No. 10 spot among U.S. law firms. King & Spalding handled 13 transactions from January 1 to June 30, 2010, with total proceeds of $3.60 billion.
