Matthew Wood is an associate of the firm’s Trial & Global Disputes practice. Matthew specializes in intellectual property litigation with an emphasis on patents. Matthew has experience litigating cases in state and federal court as well as at the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial & Appeal Board. Matthew has experience drafting key motions and arguments in cases at the trial and appellate level, including before the United States Supreme Court.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Matthew clerked for Chief Judge Rodney Gilstrap of the United Stated District Court for the Eastern District of Texas where Matthew assisted Judge Gilstrap in a variety of patent cases.

Matthew has litigated cases and advised clients on a range of technologies including: computer and internet security, enterprise content management, cryptographic technologies for secured transactions, telecommunications, automotive and transportation technologies, internet of things, germicidal radiation.

Outside of his technology litigation practice, Matthew has experience litigating complex business disputes, bond and public debt financing disputes, oil & gas transactions, and antitrust disputes.
