Clay Gibson has been a member of the firm’s Capital Transactions and Real Estate Practice Group since 1981. Mr. Gibson has represented clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including the development, leasing, acquisition and disposition of, and joint venture investment in, retail, office, hotel, residential, multi-use and other commercial projects. He has also represented clients in various consolidation and capital market transactions, including the consolidation and roll-up of real estate operating companies and property portfolios, the acquisition of such companies and portfolios by REITs and the investment in such companies by pension fund and other institutional investors.
A graduate of the University of Virginia in 1978, he received his J.D., with distinction, from Emory University School of Law in 1981 where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and the Board of Editors of the Emory Law Journal.
