Stephen Kelly is a partner with King & Spalding, based in the firm’s Dubai office. Mr. Kelly relocated to the Middle-East in April 2008 after practicing within the development and real estate industry in Sydney, Australia, for 15 years.
Mr. Kelly is widely recognised as one of the leading real estate development specialist in the region and has extensive experience advising master developers, developers, hotel operators, service providers and other players in the development and real estate industry with respect to all development and real estate related matters.
Mr. Kelly has particular expertise in advising with respect to the title structuring of complex development projects and has specialist knowledge and experience in structuring developments within the community and strata title regimes, and in particular, large scale master communities, mixed use and hotel developments.
Mr. Kelly was commended for his sophisticated development practice by Chambers Global in 2012 – 'He thinks like a developer' sources comment'. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Mr. Kelly was a partner with another international law firm based in Dubai having previously worked for Corrs Chambers Westgarth in Australia.
