Stephanie Adams is a patent agent in the firm's Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Intellectual Property Group. Dr. Adams assists clients with patent prosecution with a focus in the areas of genetics, molecular biology, pharmacology, biochemistry and immunology, including drafting of patent applications, communications with the Patent Office, patentability and infringement analyses and due diligence investigations.
Dr. Adams received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Washington and Lee University cum laude in 1996 and a Ph.D. in Molecular and Systems Pharmacology from Emory University in 2002. Her research focused on the molecular biology of novel peptides involved in the central control of reward and satiety. She was the recipient of a National Research Service Award. Dr. Adams' has presented her research at international symposiums and has authored several scientific articles.
Dr. Adams is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
