Robert Khayat is a partner in King & Spalding’s Healthcare and Business Litigation Practice Groups, and is based in the firm’s Atlanta office. Mr. Khayat’s practice is focused on litigation, investigations, and government procurement. He has an emphasis on representation of clients in the healthcare industry, but has represented clients other industries, including financial services and education, among others.
Mr. Khayat has ten years of experience representing clients in state and federal courts around the country at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as in arbitration proceedings and in connection with investigations. He has litigated many types of disputes, including breach of contract actions, alleged violations of federal and state statutes relevant to the healthcare field, corporate governance disputes, and trade secret litigation. Mr. Khayat also provides counseling in government procurement, with respect to both acquisition laws and bid protests.

Mr. Khayat is a native of Oxford, Mississippi. After graduating from the University of Mississippi in 1995 with a degree in English, he attended the Vanderbilt University School of Law. He joined King & Spalding in 2001, following two years of law practice in Birmingham, Alabama. He and his family live in Decatur, Georgia.
Mr. Khayat is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Georgia and Alabama, at both the trial and appellate levels, and before the United States Supreme Court.
