Dave Powell is a partner in King & Spalding’s Capital Transactions and Real Estate Practice Group. Mr. Powell’s practice focuses on the representation of institutional, private equity and foreign investors in structuring and managing real estate equity and debt investments in the United States, including through private REITs, partnerships and other joint venture transactions. He represents these clients across all asset classes in connection with asset and entity-level acquisitions and joint ventures, dispositions and financings.
Mr. Powell is a Lecturer at Law at Columbia Law School teaching Advanced Real Estate Transactions. He is a frequent participant as a panel speaker in conferences related to real estate joint ventures.
Mr. Powell received a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University in 2002 and his law degree from The University of Georgia School of Law in 2006. Mr. Powell is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association.
