R Davis Powell (Dave)

Dave Powell is a senior associate in King & Spalding’s Capital Transactions and Real Estate Practice Group.  Mr. Powell’s practice focuses on the representation of institutional, private equity and foreign investors in structuring and managing real estate equity and debt investments in the United States, including through partnerships and other joint venture transactions.  Mr. Powell also has experience in representing financial institutions in the workout and restructuring of commercial real estate loans.  In addition, Mr. Powell is actively involved in the funds formation and offerings aspect of the Capital Transactions and Real Estate Practice Group.

Activities

• Legal Advisor to the Board of Directors for The Foundation For Tomorrow, a 501(c)(3) corporation providing K - 12 scholarships to East African orphans.
  
  
• Mr. Powell received a Bachelor of Science degree from North Carolina State University in 2002 and his law degree from The University of Georgia School of Law in 2006.  Mr. Powell is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the American Bar Association.
