Ray Baltz is the Practice Group Leader of King & Spalding’s Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Policy Committee. Mr. Baltz represents private equity funds in leveraged buyout transactions and corporations in strategic M&A transactions. Mr. Baltz also has experience with joint ventures and strategic alliances, and general corporate and securities matters.
Mr. Baltz represents private equity funds such as Arcapita Bank, Highland Capital Management and Roark Capital Group, and has represented Fortune 500 companies such as Sprint Nextel, General Electric Company and Electronic Data Systems (EDS).
Mr. Baltz received a Doctor of Jurisprudence, summa cum laude, from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration from Boston College. Mr. Baltz served as editor of the Boston University Law Review. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association. The Legal 500 US recently ranked Mr. Baltz a “Tier 1” Private Equity lawyer, selecting him as one of the best attorneys in his field in the United States. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America.
