Ray Baltz is the leader of King & Spalding’s Global Corporate Department and a member of the firm’s Policy Committee. Mr. Baltz represents private equity funds in leveraged buyout transactions and corporations in strategic M&A transactions. Mr. Baltz also has experience with joint ventures and strategic alliances, and general corporate and securities matters.
Mr. Baltz represents private equity funds such as Arcapita Bank, Highland Capital Management, Lone Star Funds and Roark Capital Group, and also has represented several Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Baltz received a Doctor of Jurisprudence, summa cum laude, from Boston University and a Master of Business Administration from Boston College. Mr. Baltz served as editor of the Boston University Law Review. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association. Mr. Baltz has been recognized internationally by The Who’s Who of International M&A Attorneys, nationally by Legal 500 and Best Lawyers in America, and in the State of Georgia by Chambers and SuperLawyers. He recently was named Buyouts Lawyer of the Year in Georgia.
