Peter M. Oxman is a partner in King & Spalding’s Houston office. He is a member of the Capital Transactions and Real Estate Practice Group and leads the firm’s Latin American Real Estate team.  He has a broad range of experience in the purchase, sale, development, leasing and financing of office, shopping center, industrial, healthcare and residential projects in the U.S. and Latin America. He has considerable experience in negotiating domestic and international joint ventures and multi-jurisdictional portfolio transactions.  In addition, Mr. Oxman regularly represents energy industry clients in the real estate aspects of transactions involving liquefied natural gas terminals, chemical plants, underground storage facilities, and wind and other renewable energy projects.

Mr. Oxman graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in 1986. He earned his J.D., with honors, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1989.  He has been licensed to practice law in the state of Texas since 1989 and is a member of the Houston and Texas Bar Associations.  He has appeared as a panelist at conferences relating to Latin American Real Estate Investment. Mr. Oxman was the Chairman of the 2004 and 2005 South Texas College of Law Real Estate Conferences and has also served as a member of the planning committee and as a lecturer on real estate law at several other continuing legal education seminars.  From 1997-1999, Mr. Oxman served as a member of the City of Houston Planning Commission.  From 2002-2004, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Harris County Municipal Management District No. 1.  He has also served as a coach of youth soccer, basketball and baseball teams and is a graduate of Class XIV of Leadership Houston.
