Mr. Huston is an experienced business litigator. He has extensive courtroom experience, including first-chair trial experience. He has also tried several cases before arbitration panels and argued before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Huston handles a broad range of commercial disputes. The vast majority of his cases involve contract interpretation issues and related tort claims. He also handles securities fraud cases, mortgage related claims, and employment disputes.  Mr. Huston is adept at communicating complex financial and technical matters to judges and juries. 

Mr. Huston frequently handles energy-related disputes and is recognized by The Legal 500 as a recommended energy litigator.  The Legal 500 describes Mr. Huston as “attentive, results oriented, knowledgeable and dedicated.” Mr. Huston’s work is not limited to the energy industry.  He often handles matters in the financial services, real estate, insurance, and health-care fields.

Mr. Huston also regularly obtains or defends against relief in the form of temporary restraining orders and temporary injunctions.  The expedited nature of this work requires Mr. Huston’s deep knowledge of the controlling procedures and his ability to quickly learn and process facts.
