Paul Quirós is a partner in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office where he focuses his practice on serving middle market companies in their corporate and corporate finance matters. Mr. Quirós has specialized experience in the healthcare and life sciences industries and has worked with a number of healthcare services companies including hospitals and health systems, home health and hospice agencies and long-term care providers. He is a member of the Corporate Department.
Mr. Quirós has extensive experience in the organization and financing of business entities in both non-control (venture finance backed) and control (leveraged buy-out and private equity backed) transactions. He has been involved in a number of publicly registered securities offerings; mergers, acquisition and dispositions; leveraged buy-outs; joint ventures; tender offers, proxy fights and other control contests; various public and private debt offerings; internationally registered public and private securities offerings; and a number of private equity and debt placements. He has represented a number of nonprofit entities.
Mr. Quirós graduated from Furman University with honors in 1979. He received his J.D. from Mercer University Law School in 1982 where he served as Lead Articles Editor of The Mercer Law Review. Mr. Quirós has authored or co-authored over 25 law review articles on business law issues and has lectured extensively on corporate, healthcare and securities law topics. He is a member of the Georgia Bar.
