Olaf M Jacobsen

Olaf Jacobsen is a senior associate in King & Spalding’s Frankfurt office and a member of the Capital Transactions and Real Estate Practice Group.  Before joining King & Spalding in 2008, Mr. Jacobsen spent several years with two leading international law firms.

Mr. Jacobsen specializes in real estate transactions with a focus on advising German investment companies (Kapitalanlagegesellschaften) and open-ended funds, including regulatory and investment law matters regarding real estate transactions in Germany.  A further focus of his practice is the representation of clients in public and private construction law matters in connection with real estate transactions or asset management.  Mr. Jacobsen has successfully completed the training course for a certified attorney for construction and architect’s law (Fachanwaltskurs Bau- und Architektenrecht).

• Acted for German and foreign investors on the acquisition and sale of real estate in Germany, including legal management of acquisition and sale of real estate in Europe.
  
  
• Focus on commercial real estate, in particular office buildings, retail and hotels.
  
  
• Representation of clients in public building and administrative law matters within the scope of administrative procedures, e.g. building permission procedures.
  
  
• Mr. Jacobsen has conducted more than 80 real estate transactions in Germany and Europe with an aggregated volume exceeding €1.5 billion.
