Neil Levy serves as co-chair of the firm’s Global Energy Practice and is a partner in the Global Transactions Practice Group. He represents independent power producers, electric power and natural gas marketers, merchant transmission developers, interstate pipelines, LNG developers and local distribution companies before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, state public utility commissions, and the courts of appeal with respect to all regulatory, administrative litigation, and transactional issues arising under the Federal Power Act, the Natural Gas Act, the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 2005, the Energy Policy Act of 2005, and the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978. Mr. Levy also represents private equity clients in M&A transactions in the energy sector. In each year since 2006, Chambers USA has selected Neil as one of America’s leading lawyers for business in Energy. In 2010, Chambers Global named Neil a “band one” lawyer for electric energy (regulatory and litigation).
