Mike Wach is employed at King & Spalding on the Intellectual Property Practice Group. Practicing as a consultant, he specializes in generating profit and business value from patent portfolios. Mr. Wach has helped clients holding significant patent portfolios develop patent licensing programs, including mining patent portfolios, identifying infringement, and conducting economic studies before initiating litigation. As a registered patent agent, he has assisted companies with patent prosecution, opinions, due diligence, and neutral expert services.

Mr. Wach’s technical expertise emphasizes optics as applied in biomedical instrumentation and optical communications. He has led research and development programs and has business operating experience, including founding and managing a company backed by approximately $20 million in venture capital.
