Mike Stenglein is a business litigation partner, and founding and managing partner of the firm’s Austin, Texas office. Mr. Stenglein’s professional career began in 1986 as a Certified Public Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand.  During his five years with that firm and as an active CPA, Mr. Stenglein was promoted to Audit Manager, working in Coopers & Lybrand’s Miami and Boston offices.  His CPA experience and accounting knowledge have enhanced his ability to represent clients in commercial litigation, construction disputes, internal investigations and regulatory matters (e.g., before FERC, PUCT, and ERCOT) involving complex financial and tax issues, sophisticated damage models, and accounting irregularities.  In particular, Mr. Stenglein has extensive experience in energy related litigation and regulatory matters. Mr. Stenglein has had the opportunity to act as lead counsel for clients such as PG&E Corporation, Constellation Energy Group, Comerica Bank, Deutsche Bank AG, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., UBS AG, U.S. Trust Company, Walt Disney, and Occidental Petroleum.
