Mike Stenglein is a business litigation partner, the founding and managing partner of the firm’s Austin, Texas office. Mr. Stenglein’s professional career began in 1986 as a Certified Public Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand.  During his five years with that firm and as an active CPA, Mr. Stenglein worked in Coopers & Lybrand’s Miami and Boston offices.  His CPA experience and accounting knowledge have enhanced his ability to represent clients in dispute resolution, including via arbitration (both domestic and international) and state and federal court litigation.  Mr. Stenglein handles a broad range of matters with a primary focus on construction, business torts, contracts, internal investigations, and regulatory matters (e.g., before FERC, PUCT, and ERCOT).  Mr. Stenglein has had the opportunity to act as lead counsel for clients such as Ecopetrol, S.A.; Refineria de Cartagena; Cemex; Weatherford International; Occidental Chemical Corporation; Occidental Permian Ltd.; Eaton Corporation; PG&E Corporation; Cooper Industries, LLC; Gamesa Wind, USA; Constellation Energy Group; Comerica Bank; Deutsche Bank AG; Deutsche Bank Securities Inc.; UBS AG; U.S. Trust Company; and Walt Disney.
