People

Michelle Carpentier Jacob is a senior associate in the Special Matters and Government Investigations practice in King & Spalding’s New York office. Michelle focuses on white-collar criminal defense litigation, internal and government investigations, corporate compliance, and regulatory matters. Michelle works with clients facing government investigations conducted by various divisions of the Department of Justice, the U.S. Attorneys' Offices, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and various state agencies and state attorneys general. Michelle also handles white-collar criminal litigation, internal investigations, and the development of compliance programs.

Michelle currently serves as the Chair of the New York Associates Committee.

Michelle received her law degree, cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, where she served as Executive Articles Editor on the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, and as an executive board member on the Women’s Leadership Coalition. While at Northwestern, Michelle also served as a law clerk in the Felony Trial Division of the Cook County Public Defender’s Office in Chicago, Illinois, and clerked in the MacArthur Justice Center.
