Linda Parrish joined King & Spalding in 1982 and has served as the firm’s Community Affairs Director since 1994. She is responsible for pro bono and community outreach activities firm wide. She previously served as the firm’s first Recruiting Director.
Ms. Parrish served as a member of the Board of Directors of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity from 1998 – 2007, served as Chair of the Board from 2004 – 2006, and re-joined the Board in 2009. Ms. Parrish served for a number of years on the Community Investments and Public Policy Committee of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta. She was a member of Mayor Shirley Franklin’s 2006 Task Force on Early Care and Education and the Metro Atlanta Arts & Culture Coalition’s 2006 Arts Leadership Program.
Ms. Parrish has served on the board of Leadership Atlanta, and chaired the Program Committee for the Class of 2002. She was a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 1998. In 2000, she served as President of the Metro Atlanta Corporate Volunteer Council, a professional association of 75 leading Atlanta companies. She was President of the 5000-member Junior League of Atlanta from 1997 – 1998. She has also served on the boards of the Atlanta Children’s Shelter, Atlanta Speech School, Quality Care for Children and Trees Atlanta, and was a member of the Board of Visitors for Grady Health System.
Ms. Parrish received a “Golden Hammer” Award from Atlanta Habitat for Humanity in 2006 for outstanding dedication to affordable housing and commitment to Atlanta Habitat. She was named one of Atlanta’s “Women Making A Mark” by Atlanta Magazine in 1999, and was inducted into the Academy of Women Achievers by the YWCA of Metro Atlanta in 2001. She also received the “Going for the GOAL” Award from Girls’ Outdoor Adventures in Leadership in 2001.
Ms. Parrish is a native of Texarkana, Arkansas, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University.
