Tish McDonald is a partner in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office and a member of the Business Litigation Practice Group.  Ms. McDonald focuses on complex commercial litigation, and she has extensive experience in litigation for financial institutions, including banks and lenders, in a variety of areas. 

Ms. McDonald has substantial experience in other commercial litigation areas as well.  She has represented firms and individuals in several purported class actions alleging securities law violations, and she has represented clients in proceedings before the United States Securities and Exchange Commission and FINRA.  She has also served as a speaker and a panelist on emerging litigation issues arising out of recently-enacted federal legislation such as the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act as well as risk management for corporate fiduciaries.

Ms. McDonald is very active in the legal community.  She serves on the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia and is a Fellow of both of the American Bar Foundation and of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia.  She is the past President of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.  She is also a Master of the Joseph Henry Lumpkin American Inn of Court.  She served as the Treasurer of Georgia Supreme Court Justice Robert E. Benham’s successful 2008 re-election campaign and as Treasurer of Georgia Supreme Court Justice David E. Nahmias’ successful 2010 election campaign.  She is serving as a Co-Chair of Georgia Supreme Court Justice Hugh Thompson’s 2012 re-election campaign.
