Judy Deason joined the Washington, D.C., office of King & Spalding in September 1985.
She is responsible for the management of all administrative operations in the Washington office and supervises a staff of approximately 150 persons. She has oversight for human resources, office services, facilities management, financial functions and budgets, paralegal support, secretarial services, marketing, recruiting, records management, and technology/information services.
Ms. Deason has honed her skills in administrative operations, human resources, office technology, organizational development, team building and financial management over the course of more than 20 years in the legal profession and an additional 25 years on Capitol Hill in the offices of two U.S. Senators and at the Congressional Budget Office.
Ms. Deason is an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators--Capital Chapter, serving the latter as president of its charitable foundation (2001-2002) and as president of the chapter (1998-1999). She also served on the association’s national nominating committee.
Ms. Deason is also a board member and treasurer of Hope Connections for Cancer Support. She has served on the board since 2008.
