Jill Wasserman is a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group at King & Spalding.
Ms. Wasserman is a trial lawyer, focusing on patent, trademark, advertising, copyright, libel, and related matters in federal and state courts and administrative agencies throughout the United States. Her practice also includes strategic trademark, advertising, and communications counseling, with a particular emphasis on working with clients in the life sciences and technology industries.
Ms. Wasserman received her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law, summa cum laude and graduated from Williams College with a Bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in Biology in 1996. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Ms. Wasserman was a Law Clerk to the Honorable Orinda D. Evans in the Northern District of Georgia.
In 2010, Ms. Wasserman was recognized as a Georgia Superlawyer Rising Star. Ms. Wasserman is a member of the Atlanta IP Inn of Court, serves on the board of directors of the Georgia First Amendment Foundation, and is a member of the commercial speech and advertising committee of the Media Law Resource Center. Ms. Wasserman also has been an instructor in the Kessler/Eidson Trial Techniques Program at Emory University since 2006. She also is actively involved with the Williams College Atlanta Alumni Association, serving on its Steering Committee after spending six years as its president.
Ms. Wasserman’s civic work extends to pro bono representation of indigent clients in habeas corpus and civil rights cases before federal trial and appellate courts, including assisting with the representation of an indigent client before the United States Supreme Court.
