Harry Ludwig joined King & Spalding as Director of Facilities & Administrative Operations in 1991. He is responsible for space and internal support operations. His facilities responsibilities include build-out of new space, maintenance, management and improvements to existing space and liaison with property management. His oversight of operations encompasses core support services including reception, hospitality and conference center operation, mail, overnight shipping and messenger services, office supplies and equipment, purchasing, copy center, cafeteria/food services operation and travel.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Mr. Ludwig managed corporate administrative services for Contel Corporation (now part of Verizon), where as a Certified Records Manager (CRM), he designed and implemented a comprehensive information management program that in 1988 won the Olsten Award for Excellence.

Mr. Ludwig is a member, past President, Board Chair and a Fellow of ARMA International, a member of the Institute of Certified Records Managers and a member and past President of the International Facility Management Association. He is a recipient of ARMA’s O. Crawford Jenkins Professionalism Award, IFMA awards for Distinguished Member and Achievement in Facility Management and the IFMA Torch Award for “distinguished leadership, service and sustained commitment.” In 2004, IFMA Atlanta created the annual Harry L. Ludwig, III Community Services Award, bestowing on him the inaugural award. Ludwig is also a charter member and past President of IFMA’s Legal Industry Council.

Mr. Ludwig’s civic involvement has included two terms on Gwinnett Technical Institute’s Business Education Advisory Committee, leadership of a consulting group for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games for which he authored a report on information issues and solutions, and appointment to Georgia’s Vision 2000 Committee by former Georgia Secretary of State and U.S. Senator Max Cleland to provide direction for the management of the state’s public information.

Ludwig is a frequent speaker at universities, ARMA and IFMA chapters, seminars and senior corporate management forums in North America, Hawaii, New Zealand and Australia. He was contributing author of a book entitled The Information Manager’s Toolkit published in 1996. He is a graduate of the University of Miami.
