David L. Schwan is an associate in King & Spalding’s Houston office and a member of the Houston Litigation Practice Group and the Southwest Securities & Shareholder Litigation Practice Group.
His practice focuses on energy litigation, complex commercial disputes, healthcare disputes, international arbitration, and securities and shareholder litigation.
Mr. Schwan received his B.A. in 2003 from the University of Dallas, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with a major in History and a minor in International Relations. He received his J.D. in 2006 from the University of Houston Law Center, summa cum laude and Order of the Coif, where he was the Managing Editor of the Houston Law Review and served as a tutor to Professor Meredith J. Duncan and a research assistant to Professor Robert Ragazzo. In 2007, Mr. Schwan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gray H. Miller, a distinguished United States District Judge for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division. Mr. Schwan is licensed in Texas and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the American Bar Association and Houston Bar Association. He is also the current Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Subcommittee of the ABA Mass Torts Committee.
