Darren Shuler is a counsel in King & Spalding’s Business Litigation practice group.
Mr. Shuler focuses his practice on the defense of sponsors and fiduciaries of employee benefit plans in ERISA litigation matters. He defends clients in a variety of ERISA class actions involving employer stock held in 401(k) plans, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and other complex employee benefits litigation. Mr. Shuler also counsels clients in connection with governmental investigations and other regulatory matters involving employee benefit plans. Representative clients include The Coca-Cola Company, The Home Depot, Bank of America, SunTrust Banks, Waste Management, and Aon Corporation.
Mr. Shuler graduated, magna cum laude, from The University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Mr. Shuler is a member of the Georgia State Bar and the American Bar Association.
