Cheryl Sabnis is Counsel with King & Spalding’s Tort and Environmental Litigation Group.  She focuses her practice on complex defense litigation matters and has extensive experience litigating products liability, commercial, and employment disputes.

Ms. Sabnis has defended some of the world’s leading manufacturers of pharmaceuticals and medical devices in state and federal courts throughout the United States.  Among the medical products she has defended against claims of personal injury or wrongful death are paroxetine, rosiglitazone, oral contraceptives, ibuprofen, vaccines, a hospital proning bed, diethylstilbestrol (DES), and denture cream.  Additionally, Ms. Sabnis has represented manufacturers of chemicals, fuels, materials, industrial equipment, and other products in products liability actions filed nationwide.  She has a proven track record of being able to obtain successful outcomes for her clients in these matters.

Ms. Sabnis also has extensive experience representing manufacturers, retailers, service providers and other employers in a wide range of employment and commercial disputes.  Her expertise defending employers is well-established.  She regularly serves as lead counsel in putative class action, multi-plaintiff, and individual plaintiff cases, and has obtained several summary judgments in favor of her clients as well as highly favorable settlements in cases alleging violations of wage and hour, anti-discrimination, anti-retaliation, family and medical leave, and unfair competition laws. 

Besides her work on behalf of clients involved in litigation, Ms. Sabnis regularly counsels clients seeking to avoid litigation.  She advises clients regarding the protection of their trade secrets and other confidential and proprietary information and frequently assists them in developing employment policies, practices, and procedures that comply with applicable federal and state laws.
