Benoît Marcilhacy is a partner in the Capital Transactions and Real Estate practice in the Paris office.

His practice includes a variety of corporate real estate work, and is centered on the acquisitions and sales of structured property folios, sales and leasebacks and the establishment of real estate funds (SIIC, OPCI...) as well as complex development deals. He regularly advises Allianz, Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management, Grosvenor, Klepierre, TishmanSpeyer‎, Perella Weinberg, Northwood, Abu Dabi Investment Authorities, La Mondiale and Bleecker.

Some of Mr. Marcilhacy’s most recent experience includes advising:

  • ADIA (Abu Dhabi Investment Authority) on the disposal to Chinese investor Kai Yuan Holding Limited of (i) a five star hotel of 200 rooms located on avenue des Champs Elysées in Paris and, (ii) the company operating the hotel under the Marriott brand (€344.5m);

  • Perella Weinberg Real Estate Fund I, managed by Perella Weinberg Real Estate, on the €161 million sale of the 27-story Tour Blanche building in Paris La Défense to Plaza Global Real Estate Partners, an investment fund managed by LaSalle investment Managers;

  • Grosvenor on the disposal to BNP Paribas Real Estate of the OPCI holding a retail portfolio comprised of 16 commercial properties located in Paris, Bordeaux and Toulouse (€120m);

  • Northwood Investors on (i) the acquisition of the Pointe Métro office property located in Gennevilliers (near Paris) from Hines European Value Added Fund (HEVAF) and (ii) on the acquisition financing by way of a mortgage facility granted by Société Générale and Axa REIM;

  • Allianz Real Estate on their strategic joint venture portfolio with Altarea-Cogedim, consisting of the acquisition from Altarea-Cogedim of a 49% equity stake in a portfolio of 5 major shopping centers in France; and

  • Tishman Speyer on the disposal to STE (Société de la Tour Eiffel) of the office property known as Seine Etoile, located in Suresnes (€ 76.1m) and on the refinancing (€ 70m) of the office property known as “Cristalia” located in Rueil-Malmaison (Greater Paris), through a medium-term mortgage facility granted by Helaba.

He graduated from the Université Paris II with a master’s degree in business and tax law and a Magistère de Juriste d’Affaires.

He speaks French and English fluently.
