Anisha is a partner in the firm’s International Arbitration practice and is based in Singapore. Focusing on the energy sector, Anisha represents clients in high-stakes international commercial and investment disputes involving long-term foreign investments, multi-party joint ventures, and government entities.   Several of her commercial and investor-State arbitrations exceed USD 1 billion in dispute and form landmark international arbitration cases.  She also advises pharmaceutical companies in disputes arising from collaboration agreements, foreign supplier relationships, and U.S. FDA actions. Chambers Asia-Pacific (2023 and 2024) ranks Anisha as an "Up and Coming" partner, describing her as "an emerging name in the Singapore arbitration scene, with experience of representing clients in complex investor-state disputes" and reporting that "she provides fit for purpose advice that cuts straight to the legal and commercial issues, and she is tremendously responsive to client needs."  Legal 500 Asia-Pacific (2023 and 2024) names Anisha as a "rising star" and "key lawyer" in the firm's "Tier 1" international arbitration team, and showcases her as a leading practitioner in The Arbitration Powerlist: Southeast Asia 2023.  In 2021, Law360 recognized her as a "Rising Star" in International Arbitration (one of five attorneys named worldwide).

Anisha handles international disputes, with particular experience in disputes arising from LNG SPAs, production sharing contracts, concession agreements, gas sale and transportation agreements, and BITs.   Her subject-matter specialties include LNG price reviews, force majeure, decommissioning, hydrocarbon contamination, subsurface reservoir characteristics, oil & gas infrastructure, and take-or-pay obligations.  In Asia, she is one of the leading LNG disputes lawyers, having handled nearly a dozen price review negotiations and arbitrations since 2020 alone, along with disputes arising from force majeure, failure to take/failure to deliver, and more.

She is fluent with the major arbitration rules, with repeated experience in arbitrations convened under the ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, and UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.  She works closely with technical experts on her matters and is well-versed in the technical and financial aspects of long-term investment projects and purchase and supply arrangements, in addition to their legal and contractual frameworks.

Anisha was seconded for several months between 2016-2017 to ConocoPhillips’ corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas.  During that time, she joined the company’s arbitration team, and advised on its treaty and commercial arbitration matters.

Anisha received her Juris Doctor, cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a Dean’s Scholar, Senior Judge, recipient of the Certificate of Merit in Evidence, and a Contributing Editor on the Michigan Journal of Environmental and Administrative Law. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from McGill University where she received department honors.
