Angie Alfaro is a counsel in King & Spalding’s Global Transactions Practice Group. Ms. Alfaro’s practice focuses exclusively on the representation of owners and developers in their global construction projects, including liquefied natural gas (LNG) receiving, storage, regasification and liquefaction facilities, power plants, natural gas pipelines and related measurement facilities, natural gas storage facilities, manufacturing facilities, high-rise mixed-use developments, mid-rise residential and mixed use developments, medical/hospital facilities, and university facilities.  Ms. Alfaro has experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), construction, construction management, professional services and procurement agreements.  Ms. Alfaro also has experience advising clients on change orders and other claims arising during project execution.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Ms. Alfaro clerked for the Honorable Chief Justice Alma L. López, Court of Appeals, Fourth District of Texas, in San Antonio, Texas and practiced construction law and litigation in Miami, Florida, while representing clients in contractual disputes and construction design and defect disputes.

Ms. Alfaro earned a B.S. in civil engineering, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University in 1998, and a M.S.E. in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2000. In 2003, Ms. Alfaro earned her J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, where she was a member of the Texas Environmental Law Journal, Texas Hispanic Journal of Law & Policy, National Hispanic Bar Association Moot Court Team, and American Bar Association Moot Court Team.  Ms. Alfaro is admitted to practice in Texas and Florida.
