Marisa Sotomayor Inducted Into American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers


NEW YORK, March 15, 2024 – King & Spalding partner Marisa Sotomayor has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (ACCFL or the College). Membership to the College is limited to practicing lawyers, jurists and academics who have achieved preeminence in the field of commercial finance law, who have made substantial and repeated contributions to the promotion of learning and scholarship in commercial finance law, including through teaching or published writing, and whose principal practice is in such field. Admission to the ACCFL is by invitation only.  Sotomayor will be formally inducted to the College in a ceremony on April 5, 2024, in Orlando, Florida.

Based in New York, Sotomayor concentrates her practice in debt financings and other corporate finance matters. She regularly represents leading investment and commercial banks, alternative lenders and private credit providers, and private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers in a wide range of large-cap and middle-market transactions, both sponsored and non-sponsored / public, including leveraged cash flow and asset-based credits.  She is also an active member of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association.     

Founded in 1991, the ACCFL is a professional organization dedicated to promoting the field of commercial finance law through education, legislative reform and the recognition of distinguished practitioners, jurists and academics, and “offers a venue to promote and recognize outstanding achievement and advances” in commercial finance law.
