King & Spalding to Host Lecture by Author of New Book on FCPA Enforcement Trends

WASHINGTON, September 26, 2014 — King & Spalding will host a lecture by law professor Mike Koehler, author of a newly released book on developments and trends related to the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and its enforcement, at the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, on October 2, 2014, at 12:00 noon EDT. Koehler will offer his insights on current legal and policy issues in FCPA enforcement and invite questions and comments from the audience.

“The FCPA has emerged as a top concern for companies doing business in the global marketplace,” said Russell G. Ryan, a partner in King & Spalding’s special matters and government investigations practice. “Mike’s new book offers uniquely practical and thoughtful analysis of the FCPA and its myriad legal and policy issues. We are honored to host this event.”

The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in a New Era dissects the FCPA statutory text, legislative history, judicial decisions, enforcement agency guidance and resolved FCPA enforcement actions. The 416-page, hardback book is published by Edward Elgar Publishers.

Koehler is an assistant professor of law at Southern Illinois University School of Law and the founder and editor of the widely read FCPA Professor website.
