The Paralegal Services personnel are utilized in both domestic and international offices. Our lawyers and clients rely on the expertise of our Specialists, Paralegals, Practice Support and Project Assistants to provide efficient and resourceful legal support.
Through the use of temporary and permanent staffing, the firm has a national reputation for its effective utilization of legal para-professionals on transactional, litigation and discovery teams. The Paralegal Services group supports all 16 practice groups at the firm.
King & Spalding is committed to providing mentoring, education, training and career advancement for the paralegal group through professional development, tuition reimbursement for paralegal training and other seminars, and internal promotions for qualified candidates. The Paralegal Services group is representative of a variety of academic, business and legal environments. There is an established program for career paralegals, as well as an opportunity for recent college graduates seeking to make a short term commitment to the firm in preparation for law school or other career objectives.
As members of individual practice groups, Paralegal Services personnel work globally with lawyers and professional staff from all offices. The Paralegals assist in all phases of litigation and transactional matters and may be asked to assist at multiple office locations. In addition, many of the staff are bilingual or multi-lingual and are able to support the firm's international matters.
The King & Spalding Paralegal Services group is very active in the firm's community service and pro bono programs. The firm also supports active participation in local and state paralegal associations.
