Business Litigation

Type of Experience: King & Spalding seeks a staff attorney for its business litigation practice group in the Atlanta office. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of substantive, high volume litigation experience, including case management. Strong academic credentials and excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills are also required. Candidates should have 3-5 years of legal experience in financial restructuring/bankruptcy, excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school, and strong research and writing skills. Tort Litigation & Environmental

Type of Experience: King & Spalding's Atlanta office seeks mid-level to senior associates for its tort litigation & environmental practice group in Atlanta to work on tobacco litigation matters. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience. Candidates should have significant trial experience and litigation skills, including all aspects of trial preparation, taking depositions of fact and expert witnesses, oral argument of discovery and pretrial motions, and examination of witnesses at trial. All candidates must have excellent academic credentials as well as strong legal research and writing skills and be admitted to practice in both Florida and Georgia (or willing to sit for the next available bar exam in either Florida or Georgia, if only currently admitted in one of the two jurisdictions). Type of Experience: King & Spalding seeks a junior associate for its Tort and Environmental Practice Group in Houston. The group represents clients in product liability, toxic tort, and environmental arenas, handling mass tort class actions and managing complex discovery. Applicants should have at least one year of clerkship experience in addition to superior academic credentials and excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills. Qualified candidates will also have one to three years of litigation experience at a law firm, including preferably some courtroom experience. Consideration will be given to candidates who are currently completing a federal court clerkship.
