Natasha Moffitt is a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group at King & Spalding. 

Ms. Moffitt’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation and counseling, with a particular emphasis on patent litigation.  She has represented clients in technologically complex, high-stakes patent infringement lawsuits in courts throughout the United States, including in Georgia, Texas, California, Delaware, Virginia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Massachusetts.  These suits have generally involved numerous patents and a wide range of technologies, including complex computer systems and software, legacy computer systems, web services and Internet-related technologies, computer network security, automated call center technologies, financial systems, fiber optic technologies, medical devices, and lighting systems.  Ms. Moffitt also has litigated cases involving trademark infringement and false advertising claims, copyright infringement claims, and claims relating to trade secret misappropriation and unfair competition.

Ms. Moffitt is registered to practice as a Patent Attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and counsels clients in obtaining U.S. and international patent protection for inventions in the computer and electrical engineering technology fields.  Ms. Moffitt also provides opinions relating to the infringement and validity of patents. 

Ms. Moffitt serves on the Intellectual Property Advisory Board for Georgia State University College of Law.  She is also a founder and director of a non-profit organization whose purpose is to preserve and enhance parks, playgrounds, green spaces, and trails in metro-Atlanta. Her civic work extends to her pro bono representation of indigent clients before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and state courts in rural Georgia counties.  Ms. Moffitt also recently assisted in the representation of an indigent client before the United States Supreme Court. 

Ms. Moffitt received her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law, where she graduated first in her class and summa cum laude.  During law school, she competed on the Mock Trial Team and in the National Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition, where she placed first in the Southeast Regional Competition.  Ms. Moffitt also served as an editorial member of the Georgia State University Law Review.

Ms. Moffitt received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University.  Prior to practicing law, Ms. Moffitt was a Project and Systems Engineer for Schlumberger, where she gained extensive experience in the energy and utility industries.
